SARA MAYER, pianist, born in Rome in 1985, she graduated in 2005 from the Conservatory of Perugia in the class of M ° L. Tanganelli and achieved in 2009 by a vote of 110 with honors, the degree "Master Specialized in Piano (Rapporteur M º P. Caraba). Successfully supported the entrance exam at the Academy of Santa Cecilia in Rome, there is a student of the Course of Piano by M º S. Perticaroli.
He has participated in various courses under the guidance of renowned teachers. Do you remember the International Masterclass held by M ° B. Petrushansky in 2008, which ended with the concert at the Sala Antonelli, an event of the XII Piano Festival of Spoleto. In July 2008, thanks to a scholarship offered to it by M º S. Perticaroli, he attended the International Summer Academy at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg.
has participated in numerous competitions, always getting in the top three placings. Include: second prize at the International Competition "City of San Gemini" ed. 2007; prize at the 6th Competition National City Bucchianico "(2008), second prize at the 9th European Grand Prize of Music" Mendelssohn Cup "(2009), first prize at the 10th National Competition" Città di Castiglion Fiorentino "(2009); prize at the 9th Contest" City Magliano Sabina "(2010).
She has performed in numerous solo concerts, in collaboration with the Municipality of Arezzo, with the town of Castiglion Fiorentino with Section FIDAPA Chiana Valley, with the Lions Club of Ciampino, with the town of Citta di Castello and the ' Dino Ciani Music Association. He has often played in Rome at the Auditorium of the CASC Bank of Italy, Keiros at the Theatre, and at the University "La Sapienza".
He also performed the Fantasia Op. 49 F. Chopin's musical bridge for the review. Journey into the world of the piano from the Baroque to jazz (section Chopin and Schumann in the bicentenary of the birth), which took place at the Space Resonance Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome on March 7, 2010.
He received with honors the Bachelor Degree with Honours in Classics in 2007 at the University "La Sapienza" of Rome, where he is currently enrolled in the Master degree in Musicology and Music History. Sara Ferrandino, in fact, combines to his vocation as an interpreter of the study and musicological research, with particular attention to the romantic music for piano. Please refer to the recent book about the function of music in society technically advanced Franco Ferrarotti (Rome, towards the art Ed., 2010), where his essays published in the appendix "and Schumann's concerto for piano and orchestra" ( pp.77-116) and "Funérailles Franz Liszt (pp. 117-124).
